A top law firm is seeking a Legal Recruiting Manager to join its New York office. This role will support the full life-cycle of lateral attorney recruitment, with a primary focus on special counsel and associate-level hiring across a broad range of practice areas.

Job Description



  • Manage all facets of lateral hiring for attorneys, including coordinating with practice group leaders, scheduling interviews, and facilitating onboarding and integration.


  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with legal search firms and recruitment partners.


  • Monitor market trends and make strategic recommendations to improve recruitment practices.


  • Partner with senior attorneys and practice group leaders to identify hiring needs and manage candidate pipelines.


  • Track and analyze recruiting data, hiring trends, and attrition metrics.


  • Mentor and train junior recruiting staff.


  • Lead or support special projects across Talent Management, Learning & Development, and Diversity Management as assigned.

The Successful Applicant



  • Proven ability to communicate and build rapport with attorneys, staff, and external partners.
  • At least 7 years of experience in legal recruiting.
  • A Bachelor's degree.


  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.


  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills.


  • Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential matters.
