Job Description

The Quality Engineer (Electronics) will:



  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with MIL-SPEC standards and precision industry regulations.


  • Oversee quality control for defense-related power systems, including transformers, converters, and distribution equipment.


  • Apply AS9100 supplier quality principles to maintain high production standards (preferred).


  • Conduct hands-on inspections, troubleshooting, and quality assurance assessments.


  • Utilize SolidWorks for custom designs, engineering documentation, and BOM management.


  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.


  • Support audits, compliance checks, and regulatory documentation requirements.


  • Work with suppliers to ensure material and component quality meets specifications.


  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product reliability.


  • Obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (sole U.S. citizenship required).


  • Adhere to government-mandated drug screening and compliance standards.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Quality Engineer (Electronics) candidate will have:



  • Experience in MIL-SPEC manufacturing, particularly for U.S. military applications.


  • Knowledge of AS9100 supplier quality standards (preferred).


  • Background in precision manufacturing; experience in FDA-regulated industries is transferable.


  • Hands-on engineering experience with SolidWorks for custom designs and BOM management.


  • Strong troubleshooting and quality assurance skills in a manufacturing environment.


  • Ability to conduct inspections, audits, and compliance checks.


  • Experience working with suppliers to ensure material and component quality.


  • Familiarity with regulatory documentation and quality control processes.


  • Strong collaboration skills to work across engineering and production teams.


  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (sole U.S. citizenship required).


  • Willingness to pass a government-standard drug screening.


  • Flexibility to work occasional Fridays or weekends based on project deadlines.
