They are a close knit group with lots of amenities onsite for their employees.Job DescriptionThis role will report directly into the Director of Automation Engineering and be responsible forManaging automation capital projects from design, integration, installation, and commissioning, ensuring they are delivering expected value to Plant Operations.Reviewing existing automation systems to identify opportunities for improving safety, manufacturing efficiency, quality, throughput, and supporting vertical integration across plant boundaries.Researching, designing, and developing control systems for industrial use by applying knowledge in control engineering.Acting as a technical expert across the campus, troubleshooting automated equipment and robotic cells.Diagnosing problems and performing repairs or modifications on automated production equipment, using advanced electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills while minimizing downtime and preventing recurrence.Upgrading obsolete or hard-to-source components to ensure system reliability and maintainability.Ensuring proper documentation of electrical controls and maintaining source code management for software programs.Collaborating with IT, Plant Operations, and external contractors to streamline and promote enterprise-wide automation solutions.Training shop floor personnel and maintenance/engineering technicians on the operation and troubleshooting of automated equipment.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
