About Our Client

Join our dynamic team at a mid-sized, family-oriented general contractor located in the Washington DC beltway. They take pride in our strong commitment to quality, innovation, and creating spaces that bring people together. Specializing in restaurant construction, we bring a wealth of experience and a collaborative spirit to every project.

My client is a small to mid size general contractor who was recently awarded one of the best places to work by the Washington Business Journal. My client specializes in custom restaurant projects and does 50M annually. Most of their work is relationship driven and over 90% of business is from repeat customers.

Most work is local to the DC, Bethesda, Arlington, Fairfax, Alexandria, Montgomery County, and Prince George's County.

Job Description



  1. Project Leadership:
    • Lead the planning, execution, and closing of restaurant construction projects from conception to completion.
    • Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and guidance to project teams.


  2. Client Interaction:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are understood and met.
    • Collaborate with clients to define project goals, objectives, and expectations.


  3. Budget and Schedule Management:
    • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial goals are met.
    • Create and maintain project schedules, monitoring progress and addressing potential delays proactively.


  4. Quality Control:
    • Implement and enforce high-quality standards throughout the construction process.
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.


  5. Team Collaboration:
    • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment among project teams.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and subcontractors.


  6. Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
    • Proactively address issues to ensure project timelines and budgets are maintained.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on restaurant construction.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the Washington DC area.
  • Procore experience
  • Experience estimating is a plus
