THIS ROLE IS ON SITE - 5X A WEEKJob DescriptionOversee and manage indirect purchasing activities.Handle plant service and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) requirements.Develop and implement strategies for managing store room inventories.Be responsible for the performance and relationships with over 100 suppliers.Act as a champion for continuous improvement, driving these methodologies and techniques across the category, company, and supply base.Create and execute sourcing strategies that include supplier selection, price modeling, and performance management, while instituting a structured end-to-end strategic sourcing process focused on improving total cost, quality, and service.Monitor relevant utility markets and provide coverage recommendations to the VP of Procurement and senior leadership.Prepare and publish RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.Analyze and summarize vendor proposals for decision-making.Manage and update item pricing in ERP and other relevant systems.Maintain supplier documentation, including contracts, COIs (Certificates of Insurance), and pricing agreements.Conduct initial contract reviews for all indirect contracts.Oversee the onboarding process for new vendors within the indirect category.Perform vendor audits as necessary.Support special projects as assigned by the VP of Procurement.Collaborate with accounts payable and other stakeholders to reconcile vendor invoices.Prepare ad-hoc analysis and reports as requested by the VP of Procurement.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
