Job Description

Project Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate accounting and reporting of project costs and revenues.
  • Perform analysis and reconciliation of project accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Coordinate with project managers to review financial status of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Participate in the annual audit process.
  • Support the accounting department with other tasks as needed.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Accountant should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of project accounting
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and accounting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.
