The company is growing immensely through key strategic acquisitions and is in the process of centralizing the Accounting & Finance function underneath their umbrella. They are now looking to bring on a Plant Controller to have full ownership of 2 of the local plant locations.Job DescriptionPlant Controller Responsibilities:Lead and oversee the company's financial planning and budgeting activities.Evaluate financial data and suggest improvements to enhance systems and financial outcomes.Supervise and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of daily operations, including accounts payable, disbursements, billing, collections, payroll, inventory, fixed assets, and both general and cost accounting.Oversee the development of financial projections and forecasts.Utilize financial analysis tools to assess projects, programs, capital investments, and product costing as needed.Ensure adherence to all tax filing and reporting obligations at the local, state, and federal levels.Collaborate with executive leadership to create long-term strategic business plans.Define and implement both short-term and long-term departmental goals, strategies, policies, and procedures.Create and maintain a departmental structure and staffing plan that supports the achievement of goals.Oversee financial audits and recommend improvements to enhance procedures.Prepare and distribute timely monthly financial statements for executive leadership and the board.Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, banks, leasing companies, insurance providers, credit card issuers, and collection firms.Maintain up-to-date documentation of accounting procedures and policies.Protect company assets and ensure the integrity and timeliness of financial records through robust internal controls, audits, and review processes across departments.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
