As one of the largest North American manufacturers of machined plastic products and assemblies, they specialize in multi-axis plastic machining, metal-to-plastic conversions, and design for manufacturability.Job DescriptionIn this role you will report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for: Partnering with my client's Production teams to diagnose issues in machining, assembly, and inspection processes, pinpoint root causes, and implement effective technical solutions.Preparing quotes for new parts using current manufacturing capabilities.Applying engineering principles to develop and optimize manufacturing processes.Leading efforts to improve processes for both new product introductions and existing components.Driving new product introduction (NPI) process development and managing project oversight as required.Determining tooling needs, including standard and custom tooling solutions.Offering technical support to customers on product design and manufacturing applications.Developing clear work instructions for manufacturing and training team members accordingly.Providing supplemental documentation to support manufacturing in fulfilling customer requirements.Producing detailed CAD drawings for tooling and manufacturing purposes.Supporting departmental growth by guiding goal-setting and strategic initiatives.Utilizing Continuous Improvement, Cost Reduction, and 5S methodologies to enhance operations.Fostering positive relationships with colleagues and responding constructively to supervisory feedback.Handling materials and parts carefully to avoid damage and ensure product integrity.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
