The Legal Recruitment Assistant will help with legal recruiting activities, including organization and updates of recruiting materials for on-campus interviews, in-office interviews, career fairs and presentations; travel arrangements for out-of-town candidates; recruitment database input; updates and follow-up with attorneys.

Job Description

  • Help organize and schedule on-campus and in-office interviews for lateral hires, judicial clerks, and summer associate candidates.
  • Support legal recruiting efforts by updating recruiting materials for interviews, career fairs, and presentations; coordinate travel for non-local candidates; manage data in the recruiting database; and follow up with attorneys.
  • Prepare materials for on-campus interviews and hospitality events, and assist in coordinating receptions and other related functions.
  • Assist incoming hires with their arrival process, including housing arrangements when necessary.
  • Collaborate with recruiting staff to plan the Summer Associate Program, including scheduling rotations, communicating with candidates, managing logistics, sending invitations, preparing marketing and welcome materials, and organizing attorney guides and welcome gifts.
  • Provide administrative support during the summer program by tracking assignments and evaluations, organizing lunches and social events, and coordinating departmental meetings.

The Successful Applicant

  • Over one year of experience in legal or campus recruiting, preferably within a professional services or Big Law firm environment.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines while staying within budget.
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work extended hours as needed, especially during peak recruiting seasons in summer and fall.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
