Job Description

Norther San Antonio based manufacturer seeks a strategic and hands-on Head of Finance to lead its finance function immediately. This role oversees a small team responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate is an experienced financial leader who can provide both strategic insight and operational excellence, driving financial integrity, process efficiency, and business performance.

Main duties and responsibilities include the following:

Lead, manage, and develop a finance team of 4 with responsibilities in AP, AR, and GL
Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations including month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external requirements
Collaborate with the CEO and senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy
Ensure proper internal controls and financial procedures are in place and adhered to
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders as needed
Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes and systems
Support strategic initiatives through financial modeling and business case development
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and other key financial metrics
Maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory and corporate policies

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree
10+ years of progressive experience in finance/accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
Strong experience of either Navision, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Microsoft Dynamics NAV
