Projects in the Charleston area are primarily large-scale light industrial projects.Job DescriptionProject Estimation & Cost Analysis: Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and related documents.Quantity Takeoffs: Perform accurate material and labor quantity takeoffs to develop comprehensive cost projections.Bid Preparation & Submission: Develop and submit competitive bids by coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination: Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project requirements.Market & Cost Trend Analysis: Stay informed on material costs, labor rates, and market conditions to ensure accurate pricing.Collaboration with Project Teams: Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and other stakeholders to align estimates with project execution.RFI Management: Identify gaps in project documents and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify scope and pricing assumptions.Budgeting & Proposal Development: Assist in developing project budgets, feasibility studies, and preconstruction planning efforts.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
