With a strong commitment to innovation and quality, they support complex product development from prototype to full-scale production.Job DescriptionSome of the responsibilities of the Engineering Manager include, but are not limited to:Maintain in-depth technical knowledge of the company's products, services, and quality processes.Provide leadership and strategic direction to the engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and efficiency.Offer technical support to the sales team, including design-for-manufacturability (DFM) recommendations, preliminary tooling and part cost estimates, and material selection guidance.Prepare and issue formal customer quotations for tooling, part pricing, and non-recurring engineering (NRE) charges.Serve as the lead contact for both internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept through design, validation, and production launch.Oversee and approve the design, review, and construction of injection mold tooling and equipment, ensuring accuracy, durability, and ease of maintenance.Lead efforts to design molds with a focus on longevity, serviceability, and consistent performance.Promote a respectful and inclusive workplace culture that values teamwork, open communication, and continuous improvement.Demonstrate expert-level knowledge in plastic injection molding, including part design, material selection, and tooling construction techniques.Utilize CAD tools such as SolidWorks and mold simulation software to support design decisions.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
