This is a large-scale, well-established manufacturer, with over 700 employees at its New Hampshire location. The site is spread across multiple specialized buildings, including operations in foundry & casting, woodworking, and final assembly. Known for lean manufacturing and ISO 9001-certified operations, the company has a strong emphasis on safety, process efficiency, and continuous improvement. They're undergoing a leadership reorganization to better support growth and streamline operations.

Job Description

  • Oversee operations for the foundry and woodworking buildings
  • Manage scheduling of materials and workflow for assigned product families
  • Lead and mentor Group Leaders and Team Leaders through servant leadership
  • Ensure quality, safety, delivery, and cost goals are met or exceeded
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and standard work adherence
  • Use scientific method-based problem-solving to remove production obstacles
  • Coordinate with cross-functional departments to support new product development
  • Analyze production metrics and prioritize improvement projects
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and safety across all operations

The Successful Applicant

  • Bring 5+ years of high-level value stream management experience
  • Be a people-first leader, not just a task-driven manager
  • Possess a strong foundation in lean manufacturing and operations
  • Have experience in manufacturing engineering and mentoring cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills
  • Thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with dynamic schedules
  • Be proficient in identifying root causes and implementing permanent solutions
  • Note: A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
