The Civil Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all phases of heavy civil construction projects-from preconstruction through final close-out. You will lead a collaborative team and serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

Job Description



  • Manage the planning, coordination, and execution of heavy civil projects including earthwork, utilities, site development, roadway, and bridge construction


  • Lead project scheduling, cost control, subcontractor management, and safety compliance


  • Monitor project performance and ensure adherence to design, quality, and regulatory standards


  • Prepare and review subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, and project documentation


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, engineers, and public agencies


  • Identify and mitigate project risks and support resolution of field issues


  • Supervise project engineers, superintendents, and support staff

The Successful Applicant



  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field


  • 6+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, including leadership on site or infrastructure projects


  • Proven track record managing DOT, municipal, or large-scale site development projects


  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, scheduling, and financial reporting


  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills


  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, HCSS, Procore, or similar)
  • Professional Engineer PE license is a huge plus but not required
