Job Description

  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design control system architectures and develop robust automation strategies.
  • Plan, program, and document software for machine control systems, HMIs, SCADA, and other industrial control applications.
  • Conduct hands-on commissioning, testing, and debugging of equipment, ensuring successful factory acceptance testing.
  • Create technical content, including operation and maintenance manuals, with detailed instructions and visual aids.
  • Communicate with clients and suppliers to align control system interfaces and integration requirements.
  • Travel up to 30% domestically and internationally to support equipment commissioning, system integration, and site acceptance testing.
  • Provide expert-level technical support to resolve control system issues post-installation.
  • Assist in additional tasks as assigned by engineering leadership.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in automation and control systems development.
  • Hands-on experience with Siemens (Step 7, TIA Portal, WinCC Professional SCADA), Fanuc, or Allen Bradley platforms.
  • Familiarity with robotic systems (ABB, Fanuc, Kuka) and LabVIEW is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware, industrial networks, and communication protocols (TCP/IP, RS-232, Profinet, Profibus, EtherNet/IP, OPC).
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and the MS Office suite.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
