With a legacy of excellence, the company is committed to delivering innovative designs, cutting-edge technology, and unparalleled safety in laboratory environments, prioritizing functionality, flexibility, and safety.Job DescriptionThe Assistant Construction Estimator will be responsible for:Review project specifications and design documents to prepare cost estimates for laboratory fume hoods, casework, and other related products.Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate estimates based on project requirements and timelines.Assess labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs to create competitive yet profitable estimates.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, material costs, and competitor pricing.Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers for material pricing and availability.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all estimates.Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.Assist in preparing and reviewing proposals, budgets, and contracts.Follow up on bids and negotiate terms when necessary.Provide support in resolving any discrepancies between estimates and final costs.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
