There are 20 manufacturing sites across NA and 15 innovation labs that are constantly developing new products within the food commodities space. This client's customer base is in well-known stores such as Costco, Walmart, Aldi, etc. and they partner with large CPG companies such as Pepsi, Mars, Kraft, etc.As the AR/AP Manager, you will be responsible for leading the entire AP/AR function, while leading a team of 4+ Credit Specialist. You will report into the VP of Finance, and there is tons of room for progression internally so it is the perfect time to join!Job DescriptionAP/AR Manager Responsibilities:Act as the primary contact for all internal accounts payable and receivable (AP/AR) inquiries from the business team.Maintain up-to-date AP/AR aging reports, ensuring timely collections and payments.Address and oversee resolution of all AP/AR-related issues promptly through team coordination.Ensure full reconciliation of accounts with both vendors and customers.Handle intercompany reconciliations and payments involving sister companies and external partners.Lead and supervise the AP/AR team to ensure efficient operations.Ensure adherence to established payment processes and controls across the team.Verify that the accounting system accurately reflects all credit activity and complies with company policy.Confirm all supplier advances have the necessary approvals and maintain regular communication with the procurement team.Provide mentorship and guidance to members of the AP/AR team.Support risk reporting procedures as required.Work closely with stakeholders to deliver routine business support for informed decision-making.Oversee the AP/AR month-end close process, ensuring timely, accurate financial results and conducting variance analysis.Manage and contribute to complex audit and reporting assignments, both internal and external.Ensure all activities comply with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.Perform additional responsibilities as needed.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
